About the Role:
Superior Transmission Inc is looking for a skilled Mechanic and Transmission Installer to join our team in Waterbury, CT! This is a hands-on role where your expertise will keep vehicles running smoothly and customers back on the road. If you're passionate about automotive repair , we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, remove, and install automatic and manual transmissions
- Perform general automotive mechanical repairs and maintenance
- Conduct transmission rebuilds, overhauls, and component replacements
- Inspect drivetrain components including driveshafts, differentials, and transfer cases
- Perform road tests and post-repair quality checks to ensure proper vehicle operation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to service staff
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with transmission repair and installation experience
- Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission systems
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, scan tools, and standard shop equipment
- ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
